Early Recognition is Critical

Early Recognition is Critical, Inc. (E.R.I.C.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on cultivating grassroots, community-led programs that support cancer prevention, longevity, and patient-centered playbooks. Through global education, early recognition initiatives, and whole-health resources, E.R.I.C. brings communities together to fight cancer worldwide and promote long-term public health.

ERIC Cancer Initiative

E.R.I.C. Cancer Initiative leads community-based breast health education programs in Uganda and Kenya. Through breast self-exam training, early recognition education, screenings, and follow-up support, the program equips women, girls, and community leaders with tools to recognize changes early and take action.

How it supports prevention:
The program focuses on education before crisis. By teaching breast self-exam training and early recognition, E.R.I.C. helps communities understand what to look for, when to speak up, and how to seek support sooner.

How it supports longevity:
Earlier recognition creates more opportunities for earlier care, follow-up, and support. By combining education, screening access, and community follow-up, the program helps improve long-term health outcomes for women and families.

E.R.I.C. is a proud sponsor, collaborator, and host of events all over the world! We think any opportunity to educate people about the importance of early recognition should be taken. Bring E.R.I.C. messaging to your event.

Habla Claro

Habla Claro is E.R.I.C.’s Venezuela program, focused on clear, culturally relevant cancer education and community support. Through accessible communication, outreach, and the E.R.I.C. Promise Bracelet, Habla Claro helps families talk openly about cancer, understand the importance of early recognition, and stay connected to the mission.

How it supports prevention:
Habla Claro makes cancer education easier to understand and share. The E.R.I.C. Promise Bracelet serves as a daily reminder to know your body, speak up about changes, encourage loved ones to take action, and stay committed to early recognition.

How it supports longevity:
When families have clear information, trusted reminders, and a visible symbol of support, they are more likely to take action earlier, stay connected to resources, and build healthier habits that support longer, stronger lives.

By combining patient-reported outcomes, whole-health education, and organized resources, the Playbook helps patients and families explore options, manage symptoms, and make more informed decisions.

How it supports prevention:
The Playbook helps patients and families learn from real experiences and research-based guidance. By organizing information around symptoms, treatments, and whole-health support, it encourages proactive decision-making and better preparation.

How it supports longevity:
Cancer Playbook supports quality of life, symptom management, and long-term patient empowerment. It helps patients stay informed, track their journey, and access guidance that supports living stronger during and beyond treatment.
